A hilarious TV show that takes a fun and satirical spin on the story of Catherine the Great, the Empress of Russia. ‘The Great’ is loosely based on her rise to power and is filled with comedy and drama.
The first season, with all its ten episodes, was released on Hulu on May 15, 2020. Elle Fanning who was nominated for Emmys, plays Catherine II, while Nicholas Hoult takes on the role of Emperor Peter III.
Hulu renewed the series for a second season in July 2020, and it premiered on November 19, 2021. Then, in January 2022, they announced a third season, which just came out on May 12, 2023.
Season 3 of ‘The Great’ is all about Catherine and Peter trying to make their marriage work, despite some seriously messed up stuff happening.
