Long before the reign of Ganesh Gaitonde and Kaleen Bhaiya in “Sacred Games” and “Mirzapur,” there came India’s first web series by the name of “Permanent Roommates,” which was loved by everyone. In 2014, it was broadcast on the official TVF’s YouTube channel. Dealing with millennial issues since then, the show went successfully for 2 seasons and is now coming with its third season.
It is a heartwarming series starring the talented Sumit Vyas, who was recently seen in a special role in the Amazon Prime series “Bambai Meri Jaan” and Nidhi Singh as Tanya. It dealt with the flickering relationship of Mikesh and Tanya after Mikesh came back from the US. They start to experience problems in their relationship, and Season 1 concludes that they are not made for each other.
Season 1 uplifts the sad ending by adding a few elements to the story, and finally, they are happy as they can at least share their happy moments together and talk about it.
It will be interesting to see how the show will turn out from here. “Permanent Roommates” will start premiering on October 18, 2023, only on Amazon Prime Video.
