Lallantop recently released a five-hour interview with Aamir Khan, and the internet cannot believe they have to sit through another one.
The interview has become a major talking point online, especially after the criticism Aamir received for overdoing the promotions for his latest film, Sitaare Zameen Par.

Many viewers described the interview as a blend of a cinema masterclass and a long overdue therapy session, with Aamir opening up about nearly every aspect of his life and career.
In the interview, Aamir shared some deeply personal stories from his childhood, his complicated relationship with his father, his early days in the film industry, and his long journey from Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak to Sitaare Zameen Par.

Aamir also revealed his thought process before choosing particular roles and scripts, along with the emotional toll some projects have taken on him.
Following that, Aamir candidly spoke about his struggles with alcoholism and depression, especially after his divorce from Reena Dutta.

He also credited Salman Khan for supporting him through some of the darkest periods of his life, revealing that the nights he spent drinking and conversing with Salman and Shah Rukh Khan were pivotal for his emotional recovery.
While the interview was pretty insightful about Aamir’s personal and professional life, many felt like it was an amalgamation of all the previous interviews Aamir has given. Most of the information felt repeated, and no new conclusion came from it either.
Fans on the internet were questioning the purpose behind such an in-depth interview, especially at a point in his career when he should be speaking through his films.
Aamir’s previous few projects weren’t exactly impressive at the box office. Now, while Sitaare Zameen Par is generating a buzz, it isn’t nearly reaching the heights of popularity of his previous work.
While fans and critics appreciate the stories Aamir shares, they believe he should take a break from the media. According to them, oversharing so many personal insights might actually be pushing Aamir away from his fanbase, as most of his charm is lost in overexplanation.
