Veteran filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, now 94 years young, continues to stand as one of Indian cinema’s most imaginative storytellers.
One such story, conceived nearly 40 years ago, has finally found its way to the screen. The film Sing Geetham, backed by Nag Ashwin, arrived in theatres today to a positive reception.
Suriya took to social media to thank Singeetam Srinivasa Rao for creating yet another unique film, and Nag Ashwin for recognizing its greatness and reaching out with both hands to produce it.
“Two good cinema lovers. One extraordinary film — #SingGeetham,” reads Suriya’s statement, highlighting the efforts of two visionaries from different generations.
With warm wishes extended to Devi Sri Prasad, Swapna Dutt, and Vyjayanthi Films, the note also acknowledges the collective effort behind bringing Sing Geetham to life.
Ultimately, Suriya’s acknowledgement reads like a quiet celebration of cinematic destiny, where an idea waits decades, yet never loses its voice, until the right collaborators finally listen.
