Aamir Khan has openly spoken about the steady rise of a younger generation of actors in Bollywood. He acknowledged that dominance in cinema is never permanent and that change is a natural part of the industry’s cycle.
Reflecting on the long success of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and himself, Aamir said newer actors are proving their strength through performances and box office results. He stressed that direct comparisons are unnecessary when audiences are already responding.
In a recent interaction, Aamir highlighted Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, and Ranbir Kapoor as strong examples of this shift. He referred to their work in Dhurandhar, Chhaava, and Animal as proof of consistent effort and growing acceptance.
Aamir added that cinema evolves with time and every generation eventually makes space for the next. According to him, this transition is organic and driven by changing tastes and storytelling styles.
The discussion gained traction after Imran Khan suggested senior stars move towards age-appropriate roles. He argued that younger audiences may struggle to connect with stories led by much older protagonists.
While the three Khans continue to enjoy massive influence, the steady rise of younger actors signals a gradual shift in Bollywood. The pace of this change will depend on content choices, audience expectations, and evolving narratives.
