Attack on AR Rahman: Desperate for Publicity?

Abhijeet Bhattacharya Attack on AR Rahman

Abhijeet Bhattacharya was the voice of Shah Rukh Khan at one point.

From Woh Ladki Jo Sabse Alag Hai from Baadshah, Chaand Taare from Yes Boss, and Tumhe Jo Maine Dekha to Chalte Chalte’s title track, it has been years since Abhijeet sang for a Shah Rukh film.

After Main Hoon Na, the playback singer never voiced another SRK song.

Ever since his last song, it seems like he has been staying home and constantly criticizing actors.

But after commenting on Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, he has moved on to the acclaimed musician A. R. Rahman.

In a recent interview, the singer talks about his single collaboration with AR Rahman.

He explained that during that time, he was in high demand, receiving calls from top composers like Anu Malik, Anand-Milind, and Jatin-Lalit.

While his schedule was packed with dubbing sessions, he took time and went to meet Rahman but ended up waiting at the hotel.

The singer then explained that it was getting late and couldn’t continue waiting around and suggested recording in the morning. However, at 2 am, he received a call asking him to come to the studio.

Surprised by this, the singer told them that he was asleep and would go in the morning. However, when he went the other day, Rahman wasn’t there.

Abhijeet further goes on to criticize Rahman’s working schedule and says that he doesn’t understand how they could call him at 3:33 am to record under the name of creativity.

He also shared that he was insisted on singing for a film by Rahman’s assistant, despite him having a cold. The song, despite being a commercial flop, listed Rahman’s name under the credits.

Fans suspect that Abhijeet has been taking a hit on industry people as he is desperately trying to gain publicity after years of not getting any opportunity.

Meanwhile, Rahman has been in the headlines recently because of his divorce from Saira Banu after nearly 30 years of marriage.
