The Housefull 5 trailer is here and it’s a blast! Full of laugh-out-loud moments, it’s a rollercoaster of comedy, chaos, and color. We get to see a full-on entertainer in theatres after so long, and it’s a refreshing watch that will pull in the crowds.
The story is about a £69 billion empire, a mysterious will, and a hilarious mix of multiple “Jollys” vying for the throne. The cast is massive and star-studded, with Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, and Fardeen Khan, among others.
Their chemistry and comic timing are evident. Akshay Kumar is, as always, unbeatable in comedy, even if he looks a bit older in some scenes. He’s dedicated to the role, and that shows in the film.
Visually, the film is big and shot on a large scale, with huge sets including a yacht with a jail, a golf course, and even cemeteries! The humor is silly and at times cringe-worthy, but that’s part of the charm of this franchise.
The trailer’s highlight is Jackie Shroff’s hilarious spoof line, “Choti bacchi ho kya?” poking fun at Tiger Shroff, which adds a witty touch to the madness.
But considering the reported budget of Rs 375 crore, the trailer doesn’t quite showcase the scale or innovation one might expect from such a massive investment. The visuals are grand, but the content feels familiar rather than groundbreaking.
Still, after a long gap, this kind of silly, family-friendly comedy could tempt audiences back to theatres—if only for the sheer spectacle and nostalgia.
Housefull 5 might not reinvent the wheel, but it promises a big, boisterous, and entertaining ride when it hits cinemas on June 6.
