The male dominated industry also presents challenges in financing, distribution and networking which makes it tough for women producers to sustain their ventures.

Unless future actresses combine creative vision with business acumen, the struggle to find lasting success as producers will continue. For now, Anushka Sharma is the gold standard in this space.
