Andhra Pradesh Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh said the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance’s performance in the MPTC and ZPTC elections reflected public confidence in the state government’s development and welfare programmes.
Reacting to the parishad election results on Saturday, November 7, the TDP national working president described the alliance’s victories as an endorsement of what he called the coalition government’s good governance.
Lokesh said voters across villages, towns and cities had supported the alliance’s development agenda. He maintained that the results demonstrated the public’s confidence in the government’s approach to welfare and infrastructure development.
The minister credited coordination among the TDP, Jana Sena and BJP for the election performance. He said the collective efforts of leaders, candidates and party workers had played an important role in securing victories across the state.
Thanking voters for their support, Lokesh said the alliance considered the election verdict a responsibility entrusted to it by the people. He also congratulated the winning candidates and appreciated the efforts of workers from all three parties.
Lokesh urged newly elected representatives not to become arrogant following their victories. He asked them to remain accessible to the public and dedicate themselves to addressing local problems.
The minister also called for governance without discrimination or political bias. He said elected representatives should work beyond party differences and ensure that development and welfare benefits reach every eligible citizen.
Referring to the alliance’s performance in both municipal and parishad elections, Lokesh said the results reflected the trust people had placed in the ruling coalition.
He expressed hope that all three alliance partners would continue working together to strengthen public services and accelerate development across Andhra Pradesh.
Lokesh also reiterated the government’s ambition to make Andhra Pradesh a leading state in development and public welfare, urging elected representatives to work collectively towards that goal.
His remarks came as the ruling alliance recorded substantial gains in the November 7 MPTC and ZPTC counting, following its earlier victories in the municipal elections.
