Dilip Kumar Sahu, Bhojpuri actor and YouTuber has been recently arrested on charges of a Rs. 3.5 lakh credit card fraud. His arrest has stirred controversy and once again reveals about growing digital scams masked under public personas.
Dilip was reportedly nabbed by the Dahisar Cyber Police in Uttar Pradesh and brought to Mumbai. He allegedly exploited the trust of unsuspecting victims by offering cash against credit card swipes. This is a kind of service many small-time users see as a quick solution for liquidity.

What makes this case alarming is how easily the accused gained the confidence of his victim, a Mumbai BEST driver, through a poster and a WhatsApp conversation.
The victim initially received a small amount, which served as bait. However, the person was later duped out of Rs. 3.5 lakh in the second transaction. The scam wasn’t a one-off either! Investigations suggest that Dilip ran similar cons across multiple Mumbai suburbs. This includes Kaushambi as well where he was eventually nabbed by the cops.
