Saiyaara is all set to release in this upcoming Friday and early estimates have hinted that it might turn out to be a big hit. Notably, Saiyaara has already managed to replace War 2 in the list of the interest count in Book My Show.
This is undoubtedly good news for theatres at a time when Hindi films are hardly attracting audiences. Saiyaara will mark the debut of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, and the makers have hardly started the aggressive promotion for the film so far.
Despite that the makers are not focusing on the promotion, the film’s teaser, trailer, and poster have created a lot of hype. But there is still a big question on whether it will pull huge crowds to the big screen.
For now, trade experts and distributors have predicted that the film should take an opening of somewhere between Rs. 7-9 crores. If the content is up to the mark, the numbers will rise eventually on the weekend.
In case the film opens at the expected number or more than that, it will be easy for to touch the mark of around Rs. 40 crores for the first week. But the film still has to recover its budget, which is reported to be almost Rs. 60 crores, and this can turn out to be a tough task.
On the other hand, three big Hollywood films are doing wonders at the box office, including Jurassic World: Rebirth, Superman, and F1. There is no doubt that these three films will continue to attract audiences for at least the next 2-3 weeks.
In between all these, Saiyaara has to depend entirely on its content, performances, and music to divert people’s attention. Let’s see if it happens on July 18, 2025.
