Bollywood’s 100-crore club is back in full swing in 2025. The industry seems to have returned to the days when Rs. 100 crores was a common milestone for any big release. Now, every major film aims to cross it with ease.

The trend has shifted so much that the 100-crore club is slowly turning into a 200-crore one. Even if a film doesn’t recover its total budget, crossing Rs. 100 crores is seen as a success. This perception has helped small-budget movies earn the tag of a hit.

Several recent films proved this pattern. Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par managed to touch Rs. 100 crores and received praise for its emotional content. Netizens felt it deserved blockbuster status despite moderate reviews.

Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 3 also hit the same mark, powered by franchise value. Other notable films like Raid 2, Jaat, Kesari Chapter 2, Housefull 5, and Sikandar joined the list of Rs. 100-crore earners.

While producers celebrate, theatre owners and distributors are worried. Many claim that despite impressive numbers, weak content is failing to sustain audience interest beyond two or three weeks. Some even warn that theatres could face tough times if this trend continues.

The success of small and mid-budget films shows changing audience behaviour. Yet, the real challenge lies in maintaining consistent quality. As new releases and franchises line up, you’ll soon see whether this Rs. 100-crore trend continues or fades again.
