Bollywood seems to have revived its romantic film game in 2025. With Saiyaara topping the charts like no other in the recent run of romantic-dramas and even a musical romance like Metro… In Dino performing decently on the big screens, fans can’t help but ask for more.
The makers are also ready to offer more of the romantic genre be it with drama or comedy. Big production houses like Dharma and Maddock are set to bring films like Dhadak 2, Chand Mera Dil, and Param Sundari.
Even T-Series is set to bring Pati Patni Aur Woh 2. Earlier Kartik Aryan was going to star with Wamiqa Gabbi and Sara Ali Khan but now he has been replaced by Ayushman Khurrana.
Dhadak 2 is going to be a socially relevant romance that deals with caste discrimination. It is intense and depends on solid performances by Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri.
Chand Mera Dil stars Ananya Panday and Lakshya Lalwani. The film is expected to have a mesmerizing musical score and fresh mainstream romance vibe.
Another anticipated project that has teased the fans with the beautiful pairing of Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor is also set to release this year. Param Sundari brings the North meets South vibe, in a rom-com film.
Interestingly enough, all these films feature a never seen before pairing and it will certainly be something the fans would lookout for.
The romance genre has picked up momentum and makers can use it to their benefit.
