Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara is proving to be unstoppable at the box office. After an outstanding opening day collection of Rs 21 crore nett, the film has witnessed a massive surge on Day 2, firmly establishing its status as a blockbuster.
While most films wait for the Monday test, Saiyaara has already locked its verdict with extraordinary weekend momentum.
Day 2 has seen the film outpace its Friday performance, with BookMyShow reporting nearly double the ticket sales compared to Day 1.
The film started slightly below Friday numbers in the morning, but rapidly gained steam by noon. By evening, the collections had matched Friday’s already impressive numbers, and current trends indicate a Saturday total of Rs 24-25 crore, potentially even more!
This brings Saiyaara’s total to Rs 45 crore in just two days, with a projected opening weekend haul of Rs 70-75 crore. The romantic drama, starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, was a high-stakes Rs 65 crore venture for YRF.
But with its theatrical run expected to cross Rs150 crore, and possibly even Rs 200 crore, the film is headed for blockbuster glory. With profits expected to surpass Rs 100 crore, Saiyaara is definitely a blockbuster!
Another YRF film, War 2 is also on the line. So, it’s yet to be seen if it creates the same magic as Saiyaara.
