Brahmastra 2 has been in the news for quite some time, and the latest update suggests that director Ayan Mukerji may have found a new partner for the ambitious sequel.
According to the latest reports, Ayan is in talks with Namit Malhotra, the producer of Ramayana, to come on board as a studio partner for Brahmastra 2. The project has reportedly been looking for fresh backing after the earlier studio partners moved away from the sequel.
Namit Malhotra‘s entry could be an important development for the film. He is already working on Ramayana, which also features Ranbir Kapoor in the lead. Ranbir is expected to return as Shiva in Brahmastra 2, making this a rather interesting connection.
The sequel, also known as Brahmastra Part Two: Dev, is expected to take the story forward from the first film, with Dev and Amrita becoming more important to the narrative.
For Ayan, the next challenge is getting the project properly into production. Brahmastra 2 is a large-scale film that requires extensive VFX work, so finding the right backing is important.
If the talks with Namit Malhotra work out, Brahmastra 2 could finally get the push needed to move ahead.
