
As Chhaava continues to be in the news for its recent controversy involving a Lezim dance showcased by Vicky Kaushal, it has certainly attracted a lot of viewers to the product.
Maratha Organization conducted many protests at the Lal Mahal in order to remove such scenes from the film. After a lot of protests and debates over social media, the makers have officially decided to delete those scenes.

In an official statement from Laxman Utekar, he stated how he took some suggestions from MNS Chief Raj Thackeray and decided to delete the dance sequences from the film to avoid any further hatred.
“I have taken some suggestions and guidance from him. I have decided to delete those scenes where we have shown Sambhaji Maharaj playing Lezim dance” said the director. While the controversy attracted a lot of heat, the Chief Minister himself had his views on the topic.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis also expressed his views on the ongoing controversy stating that history should be shown correctly despite showcasing creativity in displaying that history.
“There should be creativity but we believe that there should be sensitivity along with it,” said Devendra Fadnavis in an official statement.

As the film has certainly captured a huge audience ahead of its release, fans are eager to see the film and the controversy has just elevated that hype even more. Only time will tell how the film will be received by the audiences on 14th February 2025.
