It has been a common issue for certain films to get delayed due to certain legal issues and controversies. One such film is Sridevi Bungalow, which has been under development for a long time.
Marking the Bollywood debut of actress Priya Prakash Varrier, the film will reportedly focus on the mystery of the bungalow associated with late actress Sridevi. The narrative would be full of several twists and the themes of fame, obsession, and tragedy in the film industry.

The movie is scheduled to arrive sometime in November. However, a specific date is yet to be confirmed by the makers about the same. On the other hand, the producers have not spoken up on anything related to the reasons behind the delay.
The film created headlines after being announced in 2019. The reason was a legal notice sent by Boney Kapoor to the makers, addressing his criticism for a bathtub scene that resembled the way Sridevi was found dead the previous year.

Priya had responded to the controversy while speaking to the media on the film sets, saying that the makers were not willing to hurt anyone. She further stated that she is a fan of Sridevi.
Apart from Priya, the upcoming film has a lineup of other cast members like Arbaaz Khan, Priyanshu Chatterjee, Aseem Ali Khan, Mukesh Rishi, and Lee Nicholas Harris.

While there are no updates regarding the response of the makers to Boney’s legal notice, it seems like the issues are resolved. But it remains to be seen if the North audience is prepared to accept Priya in a Bollywood film.
