Diljit Dosanjh Sardaarji 3 Earns $3M Overseas

A few days ago, Sardaarji 3 was making rounds on the internet due to a huge controversy. Yes, we are talking about the inclusion of Hania Aamir in the film here.

Due to this, many also called for a ban on the film, co-starring Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa. Of course, the makers obliged, stating that they will not be releasing the film in India, considering the restrictions imposed on Pak artists.

The film was eventually released overseas, only to make waves! As per the latest reports, Sardaarji 3 raked in over $3 million in just five days, powered by strong numbers in Pakistan, Canada, and the UK. Ironically, the controversy that kept it out of Indian cinemas may have fuelled its success abroad.

Earlier, as film bodies in Mumbai raised objections, but curiously, it was Diljit who bore the brunt.

What’s remarkable is how Sardaarji 3 flipped this controversy into momentum. With an estimated Rs. 35 crore budget and no India box office earnings, the film seemed doomed. But now, a projected Rs. 20 crore overseas share, plus revenue from satellite, OTT, and UK tax rebates, may turn the tables completely.
