Now, the latest that we know is that another cult classic of Akshay, Garam Masala, co-starring John Abraham, is going to have a sequel made soon.

Abhishek Sharma of Tere Bin Laden and Parmanu fame is working on a script that could lead towards Garam Masala 2. Of course, the film will reportedly star Akshay Kumar and John Abraham again.
It is said that Abhishek has an idea regarding the two-hero comedy and is now thinking of developing it into a screenplay.

While he is thinking about onboarding Akshay and John, others have varied opinions regarding Garam Masala’s sequel.
There is no denying that the two senior actors gave a decent hit with the film back in 2006. But the biggest question is whether audiences would accept the sequel like they accepted the first film.

The kind of comedy featured in Garam Masala has become outdated now. Moreover, a sequel is impossible without Priyadarshan, whose direction was one of the things that helped the comedy drama to become a cult classic.

The age factor would also make Akshay look cringe doing certain sequences where a 60-year-old would flirt with girls and do comedy in desperation for sex.
