Eid has always been the golden period for Bollywood, and Salman Khan has been the king of this festival.
Over the years his Eid releases have broken records; Bharat (2019) was the highest with ₹42 crore, followed by Race 3 (2018) with ₹36 crore and Sultan (2016) with ₹35 crore.

Other big openers include Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) with ₹34 crore and Chennai Express (2013) with ₹33 crore.
As Salman Khan’s Sikandar is all set to release on Eid, expectations are sky high. But the teaser and the song Zohra Jabeen have received a mixed response, and that has raised doubts.

According to industry estimates, the film will open at ₹30-35 crore, which is lower than Sultan despite ticket prices being higher than ever. For Sikandar to make a big impact, it needs to cross ₹40 crore.
₹50 crore would be excellent, ₹40-45 crore would be decent, below ₹40 crore would be underwhelming, and less than ₹30 crore would be a disappointment.
