Game Changer Vs Devara

The Hindi box office has more or less emerged as a yardstick to measure the box office potential of a pan Indian hero. In this context, the latest discussion about the performances of Game Changer and Devara have become a topic of discussion.

In the first three days at the box office, Game Changer has collected in the range of Rs 20 crore nett according to the communication from the production house. If it can add another Rs 20 crore over the first working week, then the tally could reach Rs 40 crore mark.

In total, Game Changer could be doing in the vicinity of Rs 40 crore nett at the Hindi box office in the opening weekend, if the numbers presented by the makers are to go by. This could very well be the revenue that keeps the film afloat amidst the downward surge in the Telugu markets.

On the other hand, Devara made Rs 42 crore nett in the first week, which is again the number presented by the makers. This will more or less be the tally for Game Changer as well in the first week.

Devara closed out with Rs 58 crore nett at the Hindi box office. This was due to the extreme crashing after the first week. It has to be seen if a similar projection will be the case with Game Changer as well.

However, a section of Bollywood media outlets are overwhelmingly complaining that both Game Changer and Devara are largely benefited from the corporate bookings. They’re commenting that neither of the films could bring the Hindi audience to theaters in big numbers and hence had to rely on bulk bookings.

NTR now has a strong product for the Hindi audience in the form of War 2 which is a blessing for him and could resurrect his prospects in Hindi. Charan will again have a tough time in attracting the Hindi folk with the film with Buchi Babu.
