Ajay Devgn recently shared a poster of Kajol’s upcoming horror thriller film Maa, which is hitting theatres on June 27, 2025. Ajay confirmed in the post shared through X that the trailer is arriving in four days.
The poster featured Kajol and a devil facing each other, hinting towards an intense and powerful confrontation between good and bad. Notably, Ajay serves as a producer of the upcoming film alongside Jyoti Deshpande. Maa is directed by Vishal Furia, known for Chhorii and Chhorii 2.
After Ajay, Kajol will be a part of a horror film. Ajay was praised for his performance in Shaitaan last year, and it will be interesting to see if Kajol can repeat the same with Maa.
The new poster looks AI-generated, but considering the work of Vishal Furia, the film should hopefully have some thrilling moments. It will be able to pull audiences only if the makers have added enough horror elements that might force the public to close their eyes in certain moments.
Maa also has a lot of potential at the box office since horror is a subject that can attract people very easily, irrespective of the actor playing the lead. Even if it does not get a good opening, a positive word-of-mouth will undoubtedly help the film to become a big hit.
The film’s title is also expected to support it, and if the trailer has been cut in a way that it can immediately force people to book their tickets, Bollywood might add another hit to its list of 2025 after Raid 2.
