I am Bigger Than Shah Rukh Khan: Fans in Shock

Kangana Ranaut and Shah Rukh Khan

Kangana Ranaut rarely misses a chance to grab attention with her statements. This time, the actress-turned-politician claimed that her success is greater than Shah Rukh Khan’s.

Kangana said, “There is probably nobody else who came from a village and got such success in the mainstream. You talk about Shah Rukh Khan. They are from Delhi and convent-educated. I was from a village that nobody would have even heard of.”

While her comment about coming from a small village is true, comparing her success with SRK’s sparked a heated debate online. Fans believe both actors earned fame through talent, not background, and that such comparisons add little value.

Kangana reached the peak of her career after Queen in 2013, which won her a National Award years before SRK got one. However, many feel that Shah Rukh Khan built stronger credibility with his humility and grace, traits often missing in Kangana’s public image.

Social media users also highlighted the difference in how both stars respond to crises. Despite representing Mandi in Himachal Pradesh as an MP, Kangana failed to support locals during recent floods. When people sought help, she claimed her restaurant earned only ₹50 that month.

In contrast, Shah Rukh Khan reportedly adopted 1,500 flood-affected families in Punjab during the same period, drawing praise for his compassion.

Kangana has often made controversial remarks targeting fellow actors and public figures, which fans see as a way to stay relevant. Her claim of being the only outsider to achieve success in Bollywood also falls flat.

Actors like Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pankaj Tripathi, Vidya Balan, Tapsee Pannu, and others have built strong careers from humble beginnings without belittling others.

Kangana’s repeated comparisons and harsh statements continue to invite backlash online. Many feel it’s time her team advised her that dragging others down doesn’t help one’s image especially in an age where audiences value authenticity over controversy.
