Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara is coming to cinemas on July 18, 2025. While the advance booking has opened all over India, it has witnessed a positive response, with maximum shows witnessing an occupancy of more than 50% so far.
Considering the response being received in terms of advance booking, trade experts are now opening up on how much the film can be expected to collect on the first day and the first weekend. Notably, the upcoming film features two new faces, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda.
Trade experts are claiming that the first day collections could be somewhere between Rs. 12-15 crores. However, it might witness an increase if more shows are added at one point due to positive feedback from the audience. The film is reportedly being released in around 800-900 theatres around India.
As per the latest update, almost 45,000 tickets have been sold in national chains, with 33,500 at PVRInox and 11,500 at Cinepolis. The situation is expected to take a different turn with every hour and it is much better than other big films released this year, including Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par.
However, it remains to be seen if the film will pull huge crowds in single-screen theatres apart from the multiplexes. But for now, it seems like the theatres will have to arrange a few things to take control of the crowd in the upcoming weekend.
The biggest plus point of Saiyaara has been the trailer, which was intense and immediately forced people to book their tickets. Apart from that, the film is being directed by Mohit Suri, who has always been an expert with such themes.
With only a day left for release, it looks like good days will be back for Bollywood, and Saiyaara should also be a learning lesson for all the filmmakers, making them realize what the audiences want to watch.
