The month of April will witness the release of some big films in different languages in theatres. A list by IMDb is now going viral, featuring the names of the most highly anticipated films.
Notably, Sanjay Dutt’s Bhootnii has managed to take the top spot among all the films. This was followed by Sunny Deol’s Jaat and Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly. Apart from that, Emraan Hashmi’s Ground Zero has also created some buzz.

Unfortunately, Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2, which releases on April 18, 2025, is missing from this list. It’s surprising since the trailer has received a positive response, and after that, there is no anticipation.
The biggest question is why this happened? While there is no specific answer to this question, there are a few things that could be the reason behind the same.

Although the trailer of Kesari Chapter 2 is intense and looks interesting, people have possibly watched similar films and TV shows where the makers tried to bring out the “real truth” in front of everyone. One of them is already airing on Sony LIV, titled The Waking of a Nation.
Apart from this, it looks like people want Akshay Kumar to take a long break and then return with new films. Although R. Madhavan is playing another lead, audiences are seemingly looking for some new content instead of films that focus on subjects that they already know about.
