Shefali passed away in June 2025 following a cardiac arrest, leaving her loved ones and fans in shock. Parag has often spoken about the emptiness her absence has brought to his life, and this Raksha Bandhan became a bittersweet reminder of her presence.
In his heartfelt note, he described Simba and Ram as more than pets to Shefali — they were her family. Continuing this small yet meaningful tradition helps him stay connected to her and the life they shared.
