Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara is creating headlines with its advance booking reports before release on July 18, 2025. Meanwhile, the censorship formalities have been completed, and the film has received a U/A 16+ certificate from CBFC.
However, the certificate was restricted to certain cuts, including some sensual sequences, which are now grabbing a lot of attention on social media, specifically after CBFC was slammed a few days ago for removing the kissing sequences from James Gunn’s Superman.
In terms of Saiyaara, CBFC asked for the replacement of four objectionable words with appropriate ones. Although the details for the same were not disclosed, the makers were told to remove body exposure visuals of 10 seconds.
Apart from that, the makers have been asked to include a disclaimer on screen related to helmet safety for two sequences involving two-wheelers. The overall runtime has been revealed to be 156.50 minutes, which means that the film will run for 2 hours, 36 minutes, and 50 seconds.
It seems like CBFC is now having issues with kissing scenes and they are possibly trying to attract family audiences by removing such sequences. But on the other hand, maybe they should now listen to the request of the audience and avoid censorship for such sequences.
Kissing scenes have now become normal for any film, irrespective of the circumstances leading to the moment. Moreover, it is a normal romantic love story where such sequences always play an important role.
Despite certain sequences having been trimmed, Saiyaara is set to take a fantastic opening on Day 1. Records might be shattered this time, and the advance booking response has left everyone shocked, considering that Saiyaara will mark the debut of two new faces.
