Salman Khan's sikandar Teaser

The teaser for Salman’s Khan highly-anticipated upcoming film ‘Sikandar’ has finally been released on December 28th. Initially set to release a day before, it had faced delays after the sudden death of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

The 1 minute 42 seconds long teaser tries to set the tone for a high-octane action sequence, with Salman in the front and centre of it all.

While the teaser serves as a treat for the actor’s fans, many have said that it seems like an ad more than a teaser, with it being shot at a completely different location, not even having one scene from the film.

Social media has not shown mercy on the actor, with many taking jibes at the teaser.

One user wrote, “It felt more like an ad shoot than a movie teaser. What was this? DISAPPOINTED!!!”

Another commented, “Too much slow-mo and glamour, but where’s the story? This doesn’t even look like an A.R. Murugadoss film!”

Although Salman’s look feels better, his lethargic body language, along with the general lack of energy, takes away the vibe.

This criticism isn’t something new as even earlier he was criticized for his poor dialogue delivery in Baby John’s cameo.

His suboptimal performances in Baby John feel more like he is talking to some Big Boss contestant rather than the villain.

The teaser’s BGM by Santhosh Narayanan is cool, as well as the colour grading done by SRK’s ‘Red Chillies Entertainment’ is garnering praise due to it being similar to ‘Jawan’, but that’s about it.

One of Salman’s dialogues from the teaser — “suna hai bahut saare log mere peeche pade hai.. bas mere mudne ki der hai” is being taken as a dig at the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang, with whom the actor has a long-standing feud.

It looked like the makers didn’t have the content ready. They probably shot in a room just for the teaser release. Jawan’s teaser was very good, but this is just plain bad. It won’t help the movie much.

It will be interesting to see whether Sikandar finally brings the much-needed relief for the actor, as it hits the theatres on Eid 2025.
