The impact of even a low buzz film like Sitaare Zameen Par has hit Housefull 5 hard which is running in its third week. As per reports it has made a gross collection of 150 crore rupees as of now but the collection this Friday has fallen down as low as 1.25 crore rupees net.
The only consolation for the Akshay Kumar starrer so far is that it won’t be tagged as a flop as it has minted more than it’s making cost. On the other hand, the critical reception has been a disaster, film critics and audiences are equally outraged at the level of brain rot and profanity they have been served.

The fact that Sitaare Zameen Par with its significantly low expectations have shaken Housefull 5’s grip over the big screens show that it was already running on thick waters. The drop in collections is more than 40% and now it will have to rely on OTT distribution to reach a wider demographic.
Amidst this race, Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 has proven to be a much better contender. As per reports it has made 242 crore rupees gross collections. Akshay is in for a real shame because despite giving it all to Housefull 5 it has proven to be yet another shallow facade of a film.
