Amar Kaushik has teased new crossovers in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, hinting at a possible romantic angle between Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree and Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya.
The director revealed that Bhediya’s character will undergo a major evolution. He will no longer remain the “normal, cute guy” seen earlier but transform into a more dominant and powerful presence. Whether Stree notices or reciprocates this change remains to be seen in Bhediya 2 and beyond.
Fans have been eager for this crossover since the Khoobsurat track hinted at chemistry between the two characters. Amar Kaushik confirmed that Bhediya 2 will mark a tonal shift, highlighting Varun Dhawan’s deeper transformation and how it may affect his connection with Stree.
Shraddha Kapoor, known for her magnetic presence, stands out in the franchise with her commanding red-themed costumes, symbolising strength and mystery. This colour symbolism continues to play a key role in defining her character’s power.
The Maddock Horror Comedy Universe is expanding further with Chhoti Stree, an animated prequel exploring Stree’s backstory. It will set the stage for Stree 3, slated for 2027, while Bhediya 2 is planned for 2026 and Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thamma is targeted for Diwali 2025.
Rather than standalone sequels, these projects reflect a deliberate crossover strategy. Amar Kaushik’s comments suggest that upcoming films will focus on evolving power dynamics and character connections, strengthening the shared universe.
The success of Chhoti Stree will depend on strong storytelling that honours each character’s essence. Viewers hope the filmmakers balance romance, emotion, and spectacle without losing the charm that made Stree and Bhediya fan favourites.
