Star Heroine Pours Petrol On Herself For Dhanush

Dhanush will return to Hindi films a long time after Atrangi Re, which was released back in 2021. The film was directed by Aanand L. Rai and the duo joined hands for another time to work on a project titled Tere Ishk Mein.

The upcoming film will feature Dhanush opposite Kriti Sanon and the latest announcement has already created a different kind of excitement, considering that Dhanush and Aanand delivered Raanjhanaa many years ago in 2013, which unexpectedly turned out to be a hit at the box office.

Notably, Kriti’s casting was announced in a video shared by T-Series on January 28. It shows the actress walking somewhere as riots take place in the background where people are running and there are flames everywhere.

The situation seems very intense as we see that Kriti is holding a petrol can. She starts opening it slowly, pours it on top of her, and puts a cigarette in her mouth. While she turns on the lighter, her fate is not revealed and we are introduced to the name of her character, Mukti, followed by the film’s title appearing on screen.

A teaser has been already released where a female character can be heard saying that even girls have the heart to give up their lives for anyone. While the storyline has not been disclosed until now, it looks like the film will leave the viewers in tears.

Aanand L. Rai’s track record has not been so good since 2018. His last film Raksha Bandhan also failed at the box office and despite featuring a superstar like Shah Rukh Khan, Zero was a big flop. There is a possibility that Aanand has given his time to the script to ensure that audiences can keep themselves engaged on the big screen.

Kriti Sanon is known for experimenting with different kinds of roles and it seems like she will portray a character in which the viewers have never seen her in the past. Although Dhanush is not so popular among the North audience, it remains to be seen if people would buy tickets to watch his film.
