2024 has been an awesome year for Hindi movies and we have gotten many big hits with unpredictable success. There were some filmmakers who were not in the top tier list before this year but have surprised everyone with their movies.
The first one is of course Kiran Rao. Her ‘Laapata Ladies’ has been a big hit and gathered much applause from critics and audiences.

Kiran Rao had previously directed films like ‘Dhobi Ghat’, but she was not considered a mainstream director. Laapata Ladies has changed the landscape now and Kiran Rao is easily counted among the Bollywood biggies today.
Another filmmaker in the list is Amar Kaushik, who, after ‘Stree’ has done a miracle with the sequel of the movie as well. ‘Stree 2’ has become a humongous success despite being made with a very small budget.

Amar Kaushik is the filmmaker who successfully established a cinematic horror universe and will be easily counted among the most trusted directors in Bollywood right now. 2024 has given a testament to how talent can surpass big names and establish itself against issues of budget.
