War set the audience’s expectations high, too high, and fans were hoping that YRF could meet them and deliver something amazing once again. However, it seems the fans may have hoped for too much.
The teaser for War 2, following the same pattern as the first film’s teaser release, dropped suddenly to create shock value — and it did.

But instead of being met with hype and rave reactions, it left some viewers feeling a little disappointed. The teaser didn’t impact them the way the original War teaser did.
But the makers should identify the silver lining in this. Instead of taking all the negative reviews, they could learn from it and improve upon the upcoming promotional material and trailer.

The teaser was edited too similarly, almost identically, to the first film’s, and it doesn’t reflect Ayan Mukerji’s unique directorial style.
For the trailer, the makers should let Ayan express himself with his distinct creative voice, one that stands out from the director of the first film.

One of the biggest things the team needs to keep in mind is editing the trailer with NTR Jr’s massive fanbase in the South in focus.
While a huge opening in Hindi is almost certain, a bumper weekend in the Telugu states will be crucial if the film aims to cross ₹1000 Cr+ worldwide gross in its lifetime.
YRF must cut and edit the trailer in a way that elevates NTR Jr’s screen presence and makes his performance impactful.
They should make both characters shine equally, so the film appeals to audiences across the country. This mindset shouldn’t just be limited to promotions; it should reflect in the film itself. Both characters should shine together.
In addition to that, the makers really need to polish the VFX to create the impact they intended. Right now, it looks amateurish and doesn’t leave much of an impression. With improved visual effects, they might be able to truly surprise the audience.
Fans are also hoping Kiara Advani is given a better role that contributes to the plot and isn’t just an addition for visual appeal.
There are still three months left until the release of War 2, and the makers definitely have time to improve on what they’re working on and deliver something solid, something that has the potential to surprise the audience.
