Vishal Mishra Sonu Nigam Arjit Singh

The song Pehle Bhi Mein from Animal was on everyone’s playlist when it dropped, and the singer behind it, Vishal Mishra, received a lot of attention for it.

However, many claim that this was the only song that truly got him noticed, and argue that he doesn’t deserve the influx of opportunities he’s now getting.

Some said Pehle Bhi Mein wasn’t even phenomenal, it just performed well because the film itself was a massive box office success.

Fans argue that there are bigger names in the industry like Sonu Nigam and Arijit Singh, and yet a singer who hasn’t delivered a single iconic hit is getting more opportunities than them.

The debate, according to them, isn’t about newcomers versus OG singers, it’s about fair opportunities.

Many believe that other singers like Varun Jain and Shashwat Singh have made a bigger impact compared to Vishal.

Varun Jain, who lent his voice to hits like Tere Vaaste, and Shashwat Singh, known for songs like Show Me The Thumka and Kesariya, aren’t getting many chances to prove themselves.

Meanwhile, Vishal is already singing for three upcoming films, Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan, Metro… In Dino, and Saiyaara. Whereas the others are barely visible in the current lineup.

Earlier, most of Bollywood’s songs were sung by Arijit Singh, and while it’s refreshing to hear new voices, relying too heavily on just one new singer might not be the best move.

Previously, singers were chosen carefully, keeping in mind the actor and the tone of the scene. Nowadays, any voice is attached to any actor without much thought, and the narrative suffers.

While it’s great that the industry is offering opportunities to new talents, an overdose of one voice risks becoming repetitive and even boring over time.
