The DCU is yet to release a movie in the newly formed franchise. We are more than a year away from the “Superman: Legacy” release, but the buzz around it has never been low. Another member from DC’s rich comic book collection may join the DCU.
Blue Beetle, played by Xolo Mariduena, will likely be a part of the DCU. As per reports, his portrayal will be a continuity of the movie Blue Beetle (2023). When will the return happen? There is no direct answer to it as DCU is still in its initial stages as the first few movies have already been announced.
We are more likely to see Blue Beetle in one of these movies before we get a Blue Beetle sequel. Blue Beetle followed Jamie Reyes, a recent college graduate and his journey to become a superhero. Reyes became the first Latino superhero in the DCEU.
James Gunn and Peter Safran have taken over the film side of DCU and it is their responsibility to deliver an exceptional series of movies that will stick with fans for years to come, unlike the DCEU that could not find the direction or story it wanted to share.
