Oppenheimer Is Breaking Theatres Even Before The Release!

Oppenheimer Is Breaking Theatres Even Before The Release!See, it is a Nolan movie. Down the line, it has all the potential to be a classic in 40 or 50 years. A gloomy 3-hour-long biography about the mad scientist, about one of the most important chapters in American history. So it is destined to have an impact on the theater. On a superficial level, it is true, but Nolan was on a mission and took this literally as well.

Nolan didn’t just work with a ginormous cast, he also went crazy with the camera selection, and with IMAX he promised results like never before. Now IMAX’s 70mm print size is followed by humongous reels/prints.

Previously multiple tweets and social media posts went viral describing how massive the IMAX print was. One even specified that the print was 11 miles long and was 600 pounds heavy.

Now this caused multiple theaters to work on their projection systems as not every theater opted for these massive prints. One tweet is going viral about how a Chinese theater extended its projector to support the print.

Ok, so if you are flabbergasted by how big it is, let’s come to reality for once. The print can produce one of the most stunning visual experiences ever, a 3D-like experience without the glasses, all these claims are true. But how many theaters will complement the quality? Even in a country like America, there are almost 30 ‘true’ IMAX theaters.

After numerous interviews, Nolan convinced the people that it is only watchable in the IMAX experience. It’s not ‘Barbie’ or Mission Impossible 7 that will kill Oppenheimer, it’s not the lack of advertisement that will kill this, instead, it’s the very scarcity of IMAX around the globe which will affect the numbers more than anything.
