Heroes don’t die; that’s true. However, their journeys do come to an end, and the DCEU will now be resting after the release of Aquaman this festive season. It has indeed been a long run, as DC has always shown a tendency to go through reboot phases.
This time, it won’t make an exception either, as DC’s contemporary timeline or the DCEU took some massive hits. With James Gunn and Peter Safran taking over, they aim to work on a tabula rasa, wiping everything clean. The journey will be ending with the release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
This edition of DC’s stories started with Snyder’s vision and the origin story of Spiderman. The face-off between Batman and Superman was a big box office success but also became one of the most prominent memes in the universe.
The universe began to saturate with big stars like Dwayne Johnson and Margot Robbie, giving hope to it. However, it was beyond saving as DC didn’t manage to carry forward a proper timeline, and the fans started to become divided.
Thus, the makers decided to give it a reboot with The Flash and his deeds. Now, with Gunn and Safran at the pinnacle, they will undoubtedly cook up something good, and the fans will be waiting for something exciting.
