Willy Wonka and his magic factor are running with great success as it conquers the box office, and that too with ease. As Christmas day came to an end, Santa gave a gift to Wonka in the form of a milestone.
Wonka, as of yesterday, crossed the golden threshold of $260M, also giving the kids a Christmas option to watch.
The film also had a budget of $125M, but Wonka won’t stop here; that’s for sure. With holidays still going on and the New Year approaching, Wonka’s journey will definitely continue for a longer period.
In this box office journey, Wonka even had competition from some big titles, including two by WB themselves, as the studio was determined to capitalize on the holidays for sure.
Also, as The Color Purple hits the theaters, Wonka will definitely have tougher competition than Aquaman, but like The Hunger Games spinoff, Wonka will definitely be able to hold its place with ease.
Even on Christmas day, Wonka grossed $10.3M, just $300K less than Aquaman. It not only showcases the miserable state of Aquaman but also shows how Wonka is able to hold its place with ease.
