Shah Rukh Khan has made a name for himself in the industry by dreaming big and making it a reality. At a time when most actors were just aiming for the ‘100 crore club’ for their movies, the visionary star was already talking about the impending ‘200 crore club’. Now, when only two movies crossed the ‘300 crore’ mark (getting into the ‘300-500 crore club), the actor has even higher expectations for future Bollywood trade.

To make his dream a reality, the actor suggested building more theatres. Apparently, Shah Rukh predicts that after 300-500 crore, 1000 crore isn’t that far. Films like ‘PK’, Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, and ‘Baahubali’ had about 5 crore viewers within the first few weeks and the number will keep on increasing over time as our population increases. Assuming 10 crore viewers on the whole for such blockbuster movies with the growing population being over 125 crore, the actor believes that the number of movie-goers will soon skyrocket.
Khan’s hope is to reach the Rs 1000 crore mark and suggested more theatres as the best possible solution to achieve it; the bottom line being ‘the more the theatres, the more the revenues’.
