Akhil Akkineni was regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Telugu Cinema roughly decade ago. But things have not been going smoothly for him as commercial success evades him at all counts.
Notably, it has been nearly 3 years since Akhil was last seen on the big screen in Agent. After the catastrophic failure of this film, Akhil took some time to recalibrate his creative choices and was nowhere to be seen. After a lot of deliberation, he picked up Lenin and worked on it for a long while.
And just when Akhil was supposed to return to the silver screen with Lenin, there is a bit of a situation brewing here. This film was supposed to release on May 1, but took the backseat and got pushed to a later date as the makers said they are accommodating Peddi.
Whatever might be the reason, this must be a very frustrating period for Akkineni fans as one of their brighter prospects Akhil is not returning to the big screen. It has been over thousand days since Akhil was last witnessed on the cinema screen but still, there’s no sense of urge from him to return.
By the looks of it, Lenin appears to be an honest and sincere effort from Akhil and fans are hoping he gets the much needed reprieve at least with this film.
