Like legendary senior Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, his son Balakrishna too has a great passion for mythological characters. In fact he is the only hero in Tollywood, who occasionally tries doing mythological films and suits the bill to do a mythological character. The remake of his father’s classic mythological film ‘Nartanasala’ has been one of his dreams. And Balayya Babu did make his first move to go with the remake. Late Soundarya was to portray Droupadi in the film while Balayya Babu to portray one of the Pandava, Arjuna who eventually disguises himself as a transgender, Bruhannala.
After the tragic demise of Soundarya, Balayya Babu couldn’t find a suitable replacement to Droupadi character and the film was shelved. According to actor SaiKumar who was selected to play Duryodhana, the film is still on cards and Balayya Babu has assured him that this film is going to surely happen in the near future. It has been Sai Kumar’s dream to portray Duryodhana and hence he is eagerly waiting for the revival of the film’s shooting once again. Balayya Babu though busy with his political career and a couple of commercial movies, the transgender role of Bruhannala still keeps luring him.
