Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel’s Dragon is progressing at a brisk pace, with the latest schedule currently underway at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
The team is presently filming a massive action episode on a specially constructed European-style set, where several high-voltage sequences featuring NTR are being canned. The grand set is expected to add a fresh visual identity to the film, and insiders say these action blocks will be among Dragon’s biggest highlights.
Meanwhile, an interesting casting rumor is doing the rounds.
According to industry reports, acclaimed Hindi actor Manoj Bajpayee has been approached for a crucial role in the film. If everything goes as planned, he is expected to join the shoot in one of the upcoming schedules. However, the makers are yet to make any official announcement regarding his casting.
Another update that has caught fans’ attention is about Prashanth Neel’s visual approach.
The director is known for his signature dark, grey-toned frames in films like KGF and Salaar. However, reports suggest Dragon will offer something completely different. The film’s flashback episodes are said to be vibrant and colorful, with almost none of the dark visual palette usually associated with Neel’s filmmaking.
With Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel collaborating for the first time, expectations are naturally sky-high. Backed by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, with music composed by Ravi Basrur, Dragon is one of the most hyped films of 2027, alongside Spirit and Varanasi.
