The unreasonable prices of eatables at theaters and other such places have always been an issue. With the recent hike in prices of movie tickets, parking, and even popcorn, a campaign has been started to boycott popcorn in movie theaters in Hyderabad.

The ridiculously high prices of items in multiplexes have given to rise to a movement. People are posting on social media platforms requesting the movie buffs to avoid purchasing popcorn until the prices are reduced. Apparently, a medium sized popcorn costs Rs 190 and a tub is priced at Rs 270.
Ms. Lumin Jain of Begumpet voiced her opinion by saying, “Theatres don’t allow anything inside, not even water. During a two-three hour movie, it is obvious to have food, and popcorn is the basic snack during movies” and with exorbitant rates of eatables, they have planned to have a meal beforehand.
