Earlier this month, the Income Tax Department in Hyderabad conducted raids at the homes and offices of director-producer Sukumar and production company Mythri Movie Makers. The IT officials carried out extensive searches to uncover undisclosed assets and funds.
Sukumar is also a co-producer, along with Mythri Movie Makers, of the much-awaited sequel to the hit film Pushpa, called Pushpa 2. He was neck-deep into the shoot of Pushpa 2 in the last few weeks. But these sudden raids seem to have taken a toll on Sukumar.
On April 21, one of the two producers at Mythri Movie Makers, Naveen Yerneni, was rushed to the hospital when he complained of uneasiness and high blood pressure. The inside reports suggest that the stress caused due to the IT raids for one of the main reasons.
The last few days have been very stressful for Sukumar as well, and that is the reason why he decided to go on a sudden trip to the US to reduce his stress, relax his mind, and regain his focus on Pushpa 2.
Stressful minds can reduce anyone’s creativity and productivity, so it is good that Sukumar has taken his time off by flying down to the USA to beat the stress and also the summer heat, to an extent.
