It’s not a copy clarifies Kamal Haasan
Ever since the first look poster of Kamal Haasan’s next film under production Uthama Villain have been revealed the actor has been faced with charges of plagiarism. The first look poster of the film with actor having paint all over his face was almost identical to a photograph taken by French photographer which shot up in the online world and that was the cause for all these accusations.

Kamal Haasan has however given a fitting reply to all those critics by saying that one should first know about our history before trying to come up with comments. The painting that he has done to his face had nothing to do with the picture rather it was an old tradition called Theyyam that is 1000 years old, said the actor. How can someone copy an art as old as that, questioned Kamal Haasan, putting an end to the plagiarism charges along with it.
