Shekhar Kammula’s ‘Anand’ and ‘Godavari’ heroine Kamalini Mukherjee is hardly see in South films these days though she had been part of successful and good films. Now the talented actress is coming back to South with ‘Iravi’.

She feels it a perfect choice for a comeback as ‘Iravi’ is directed by a talented and unconventional director like Karthik Subbaraju of ‘Pizza’ and ‘Jigarthanda’ fame. She is happy that the director impressed her big time with his work.
She clarifies that it isn’t a women-centric film. SJ Surya, Vijay Sethupathy and Bobby Simha are playing the lead roles. Telugu girl Anjali and Pooja Devariya are playing female leads besides Kamalini Mukherjee. Telugu audiences had last seen her in ‘Govindudu Andarivaadele’. But Tamil audiences didn’t get to see her from 2009 onwards.
