South Indian cinema is ruling the roost in the pan Indian space. One such surprise blockbuster is Kantara. But this wasn’t a conventional pan Indian film.
Kantara was first released in Kannada and it was a raging blockbuster there. The film was then released in other languages and it turned out to be a good hit in other markets as well.
Now, another South Indian film is following the Kantara model, and here’s a look into the same.
The said film is recent Malayalam language box office blockbuster, 2018. The film features Mallu stars Tovino Thomas, Vineeth Srinivasan, Asif Ali, and others. It released in theaters there on 5 May and is currently on a blockbuster run domestically and also in international markets with Mallu populous.
Now that the film has turned out to be a blockbuster in the Mallu market, the makers have announced that it will be released in other languages soon. The trailer for the film is to be dropped today.

Much like Kantara, this 2018 is also first released in the native language and then being released in other pan Indian languages. But can it strike a chord with other language audience like the way Kantara did? We shall see.
