According to reports, Balakrishna’s character will enter in the second half. If this is true, the father-son connection could become one of the biggest emotional points in the film.
Mokshagna will be introduced as the new-generation Nandamuri hero. Bringing Balakrishna into the story as his father can create a powerful theatrical moment. Fans have been waiting for years to see the two together on screen. A strong second-half entry for Balayya could create huge excitement in theatres.
But there is also a big danger.
The whole point of Mokshagna’s debut is to establish him as a hero in his own right. If Balakrishna gets a powerful role and a mass entry, he could easily overshadow the debutant. The makers must ensure that Balayya’s character helps Mokshagna’s story instead of taking it over.
The Vassishta choice has also been questioned by some sections of the audience. Bimbisara remains his only real success so far, while the negative response around Vishwambhara has raised doubts about whether he is the right choice for such an important debut.
At the same time, choosing Vassishta could be a smart move. If the Nandamuri team wanted another routine mass film, there were several established directors available. Vassishta could bring a different world and give Mokshagna a fresh identity.
