That Megastar Chiranjeevi was not able to hold his enthusiasm about Rangasthalam was visible from every word he spoke at the pre-release function. The biggest of them was regarding Sukumar and team and the awards they deserve.

Chiranjeevi said that he had seen the rough cut without any background score and still, the narrative was so strong that it totally won him over by the end. He said that Sukumar did not pollute the film with additional commercial gimmicks and kept it as natural as possible. It is a great effort all around, one that will reap multiple National Awards.
In fact, Megastar concluded by saying that, if Rangasthalam doesn’t win Awards it would be disappointing, not to the unit, but from the awards perspective. Those were some really confident words spoken by a senior star who is known to have a strong cinematic acumen. Will his words come true?
