Prabhas is currently juggling multiple big-budget projects, but one film that appears to be progressing exactly as planned is Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The action drama has generated tremendous buzz, with Prabhas playing a powerful police officer for the first time under the direction of the Arjun Reddy and Animal filmmaker.
According to industry reports, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has a clear roadmap for the project and intends to complete the entire shoot in around 100 working days. Many fans were concerned that Spirit could face delays since Prabhas is simultaneously shooting for Hanu Raghavapudi’s period war drama Fauzi. However, those close to the project say the director is confident of sticking to his schedule.
In fact, nearly 40% of the film has already been completed. The remaining shoot is also said to be meticulously planned, with most of it taking place in Hyderabad. This is expected to make Spirit one of Prabhas‘ cheapest films in the last 10 years.
Sandeep is reportedly determined to wrap up production on time so that he can devote ample time to post-production and the promotional campaign instead of rushing the work close to release.
This meticulous planning comes at a time when several big-ticket Telugu films have struggled with delays and last-minute post-production issues. Sandeep appears keen to avoid that situation by finishing the shoot well in advance.
Spirit is currently scheduled for a grand worldwide release on March 5, 2027, clashing with Salman Khan’s next film, backed by Dil Raju Productions.
The film stars Triptii Dimri as the female lead, while Vivek Oberoi is expected to play the main antagonist.
Given the blockbuster combination of Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga, expectations are sky-high. If the current schedule remains on track, Spirit could become one of the few major pan-India films to complete production well ahead of its release, giving the makers enough breathing room to deliver a polished final product.
